What did you do to teach the youth about Earth Day today? Here’s what we’d do…
The Boss DS-1 is a basic distortion pedal manufactured by the Roland Corporation under the brand name Boss since 1978. It has one tone knob, one level knob, and one distortion knob. It can produce a thin, light, snappy distortion up to a heavy and harsh sound.
Kurt Cobain owned the pedal. Which might make this the most relevant Wikipedia roulette ever. When I was a child I never understood how musicians could make their guitars make weird sounds without the pedals. Then I learned if you get really big, you can pay someone to do it FOR YOU…and NO ONE SEES THEM. I GET MORE CREDIT THIS WAY.
Congrats to Tyler who scored three day Lollapolooza passes. He’s excited about Bang Camaro, and having just read about them, so am I.
July 13 – Chicago!!!
OMG GREEN DAY IS COMING TO THE MIDWEST TO BLOW US AWAY WITH THE BEST ROCK OPERA SINCE TOMMY OR RENT OR STREET DOGS OR STOMP OR…
Yes, Green Day is playing Chicago in support of 21st Century Breakdown, in stores May. The question is can you get us tickets?
Ageless torso man and punk icon James “Iggy Pop” Osterburg turns 62 today. I swear, he doesn’t look a day over “heroin addled 38.” Still lucid compared to other punk luminaries who are either washed up (See: Rotten, Johnny) or dead (most everyone else).
And along with Dennis Hopper, the least likely source of life insurance pitchmen. Or most appropriate, depending on how you see life.
There’s also THIS.
So this is ambitious. There are presently thousands of blogs saying thousands of things and here’s this radio station attempting to place their flag on the internets…really?
So what’s the point? Community. A different type of community that thinks a bunch of like minded weirdos can learn a lot about each other, Milwaukee and have a lot of fun in the process.
Do you have a blog? Let us know about it.
So we can make you and Milwaukee famous.
We’ll also do the usual contest/concert/new music stuff that you’d except from a blog. Except you won’t get mock indignation and a smug air of superiority, we’re just confused as you are.
