New Alternative/Modern Rock Music Festival Coming to Milwaukee June 4 and June 5!!

If you missed the BIG announcement on Kramp and Adler’s show this morning, Milwaukee is getting it’s own alt rock festival this summer!   Bob Babisch and John Boler from Summerfest joined Kramp and Adler to break the news.  I let them in the front door and got them coffee.  They both drink their coffee black.

Here are the important details:

Who:  FM 102/1 and Summerfest

What: Creating a summer music festival with name TBA with “alternative” and “modern rock” bands to be announced March 10, 2010.

Where: Summerfest grounds, 200 N. Harbor Drive, Milwaukee

When: Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, 2010

Why:  Because this needed to happen.

This festival without a name needs a name.  That’s where YOU come in.  Got mad design skillz?  Have a catchy name for this festival?  Submit your ideas.  The public will help name this festival after finalists are announced.  For information on how to submit your ideas, tickets, etc, visit  Webmaster Chris M. is doing a nice job with the site.

Jack’s Mannequin played a 40 minute set before the Weez.  Set list included “Bruised,” “La La Lie,” “Kill The Messenger,” “The Mix Tape,” “Spinning,” “The Last Straw,” “Dark Blue,” and “Bloodshot.”  I missed MCS unfortuantely.  If you didn’t pick up a Weezer snuggie at the merch table after the show, they are available at
